A former 18th century farm building and private house have been recently converted into an enchanting complex of blue timbered, modern-traditional lodging.
The owners, Jean Phillip Hellman and his wife Brigitte, a third generation of hotelliers, have pulled out all the stops to preserve the feeling of a private house and offer comfortable and spacious lodging. Spacious and enticing bedrooms with striped cotton fabrics, fat duvets and white-painted furniture offer a homely but uncluttered rustic charm. The bathrooms, all marble, are spotless.
The buffet breakfast is a gastronimc feast; special bread, smoked salmon, presskopf terrine, not forgetting the array of fruits from their own garden. For dinner, it is a short stroll to the Hellmann's restaurant, A l'Aigle d'Or, where Jean-Phillipe prepares traditional dishes presented in a clean and contemporary style.
