An imposing hotel on the quayside of the pretty little riverside resort of La Bouille - a popular spot with the citizens of Rouen at weekends. The hotel is run by the friendly M and Mme de Mederos who are deservedly proud of their hotel and its excellent restaurant.

Hotel le Bellevue is a friendly hotel, a stone’s throw from the little ferry across the Seine. You’re sure to get a warm welcome here, and enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms are very comfortable, and have all been recently refurbished. La Bouille is an interesting place to explore. Squeezed between steep cliffs and the Seine, it’s traditionally the first stop-off downstream from Rouen. Although small, it has a surprising number of cafes and restaurants. Otherwise, much of the village life still centres around the ferry (usually free to pedestrians).

Cuisine

There are two restaurants here. The main restaurant is on the ground floor and has an authentic Normandy décor and specialises in cuisine using local produce, and offers a number of very fine fish dishes. There’s another room on the first floor with some fine views of the river and its traffic. In the summer, the terrace is also used. Along with its undeniably tasty food, the hotel prides itself on its extensive wine list.
