Finding the right bike for you
All our bikes are prepared in advance and from most centres you can hire cycle helmets for €2 per day, paid locally. Simply provide us with your height and inside leg measurement and your bike will be awaiting your arrival.
Our bikes are usually hybrids – a cross between a tourer and a mountain bike that's perfect for the distances and terrain you'll be covering. The saddles are made wide for touring, but you can also bring your own if you wish. Many of our suppliers now also offer electric bikes for a small additional cost – call us on +44 (0)1580 214 010 for details.
We provide you with panniers to carry your picnic and supplies for the day, and because we take care of moving your luggage to the next hotel, you needn’t worry about unnecessary bags.
It’s unlikely, but if your bike breaks down, our local representative will bring a replacement ready for the next day, so you won’t be held up. You will, however, need to know how to repair your own puncture. To make this easier, we'll provide you with a repair kit containing a spare inner tube and puncture repair kit.
If you're travelling by car and wish to bring your own bike we will reduce the cost of your cycling holiday by £5 per day.
Make light work of long rides. E-bikes take the edge off those daunting climbs and long distances, meaning you can up your grade and enjoy a more challenging holiday with no extra effort.
Our e-bikes feature everything that our standard bikes offer but come with the added bonus of pedal-assist to keep you going that little bit longer.
You can request e-bikes on many of our cycling holidays with an additional supplement.
