Les Sabots d’Hélène, a three star hotel with only 8 bedrooms, has a fantastic position right in the middle of the main square of the historic fortified town of Rocroi, where the famous battle of Rocroi between French and Spanish took place in 1643. The Belgian border is only a 5-minute drive away. Everything is done by the couple who owns the hotel, Danielle and Manu. They are extremely friendly, very attentive and helpful and make you feel like special guests.
Meals are served in the restaurant with a modern and classy decor. Open to residents only, you feel very well looked after. Choice of English or continental breakfast. For English breakfast you need to let the hotelier know in advance as he cooks all the meals himself. The food, a mix of French and Belgian cuisine, is delicious and traditional.
