Le Clos du Buis
This delightful 200 year old stone building is right in the heart of the picturesque town of Bonnieux. When you first see Le Clos du Buis you would never guess that there is a delightful garden and an attractive swimming pool nestled behind the house - very tempting for a cooling dip before dinner. There are wonderful panoramic views over Mount Ventoux, the Luberon plain and the beautiful surrouding countryside.
Once a grocery shop, then a bakery, this charming inn shows traces of its historical past through evocative details such as the restored baker’s oven. After several years of renovation, Pierre and Lydia Maurin finally opened Le Clos du Buis in 1997 (the name is a nod to the 100 year old box trees found in its garden). There are eight en-suite rooms, each with a different decor and ambience, and all attractive and comfortable.
A buffet breakfast is served on the veranda, accompanied by sweeping views over the valley.
