  • Service rating : Belle France were always helpful, designed an excellent cycle tour for us & responded quickly when things didn't go quite to plan
    Product : An excellent holiday

    5 out of 5

  • Service rating : Replies to emails were quick and efficient. Telephone contacts were professional and friendly.
Product : Bikes were first rate. Breakfast at Mas des Amandiers was excellent, and Valerie Vincentelli was most helpful. Hotel Robinson seemed rather tired and the breakfast was pretty ordinary. As the Val Majour does not have a restaurant, it might be helpful to give clients the choice of restaurant and for BF to make the booking. Though we were fine the first night and had an excellent meal, it proved difficult to find anywhere the second night - one or two place were closed and others were full - our third choice was rather slow and unspectacular, which was a shame. The cycling notes were on the whole good, though they need updating - junctions had become roundabouts in one or two instances - and more distances to landmarks en route would be helpful.

Belle France Response: Thank your for your positive feedback on our service and your helpful feedback regarding hotels and restaurants. Yes we are aware that hotel Robinson has had a few less than positive comments this year and we will be reassessing the hotel before we commit to using it for next year. In past years this has been a lovely hotel, with a good reputation for food and very friendly staff so we do hope that they will once again return to this standard very soon. Regarding restaurants, I think that we just need to let clients be aware that Sunday and Monday restaurants openings are always limited in France, maybe we need should make this clearer and give a list of possibilities in each town when accommodations are booked as BB only.
