  • Service rating : From the start of the booking process through to taking care of a couple of minor matters during the cycling holiday, the staff at Belle France were responsive, knowledgeable and really pleasant to deal with.
Product : The cycling paths were really pleasant and well chosen, and the hotels were marvellous, as was the food in their restaurants. It was a very smooth, well organised holiday. We've done about 12 cycling holidays in France over the past 15 years, and this would have to be one of the very best.

  • Service rating : I was surprised that I had to contact Belle France about the size of bicycle we would need - I thought they said they would contact me.
Apart from this I thought the organisation/administration was fine.
Product : Apart from the first (and last ) hotel we were very satisfied with the hotels. L'Essille Hotel in Bassac was excellent. The welcome from the very friendly and helpful staff throughout was very good. The food was exceptional and the setting was sublime.
Hotel Moulin Neuf had an excellent restaurant with food quality that matched L@
Essille but there was no welcome at all when we arrived and very little interest in us when we left. We felt tolerated but maybe as this was within days of the Brexit vote we did wonder whether we deserved it as a nation! However Roger said this was just their way?

Belle France Response: Thank you for your feedback, yes we would have contacted you regarding bike sizes but I do believe you contacted us first. We would always makes sure that bikes are pre-ordered with the correct dimensions.

It is interesting to hear your comments regarding Le Moulin Neuf and we too are disappointed to hear that the warm welcome that our clients are used to was not forthcoming. We will review the accommodations for next year.

Glad you enjoyed the trip and we hope to hear from you again next year.
