Fixin to Nuits-St-Georges day 2
Set off after breakfast, heading south along well-worn footpaths and past historic Clos Vougeot, home to the Brotherhood of Winetasters. Stay at the 3-star Logis de France hotel.

Hotel Remparts is a 17th century private hotel which combines the charm of an ancient mansion with modern comfort and facilities enjoying one of the best locations in town, central but quiet. The hotel gets its name because some of the rooms are part of the town's original walls, or ramparts. There are twisty wood and stone staircases leading to rooms furnished with a mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings. Some of the rooms also have old fireplaces and wood beamed ceilings. Beaune to Meursault day 5
A small detour leads to Pommard and its 14th century cellars. Continue to the sleepy village of Meursault, one of Burgundy’s most celebrated wine villages.

This morning you pass very close to the vineyards of Bourgogne Aligoté, then on to Santenay and a stiff climb to a ridge with good views of distant vineyards. Descend to the delightful Auberge de Camp Romain with a lovely pool. Your last night on the six night walk.
