    Arrival Nasbinals day 1


    This little town set at an altitude of 1180m has a beautiful 11th century church and a stunning waterfall.

    Nasbinals to St Chély d’Aubrac day 2


    This gentle walk on stony tracks passes through woods before entering open country, heading south on a wide drover trail. At the little bridge crossing the Boralde, look out for the carved pilgrim.

    The logis de France, Hotel les Coudercous, is built in the local style of Aubrac with thick stone walls and heavy wooden shutters.     St Chély to Espalion day 3


    Descending from the Massif Central, the landscape changes, becoming more cultivated as you cross ancient bridges built for pilgrims.

    Espalion to Estaing day 4


    Now the trail runs along the Lot Valley - limestone cliffs and thin, gritty soil. You leave the valley rising onto a high rolling plateau. Estaing, a major halt, holds the famous annual festival of St Fleuret on the first Sunday in July.
