This stunning route runs along the picturesque Dronne valley through the pretty medieval villages of Ribérac and Bourdeilles to finish at the island town of Brantôme also known as ‘the petit Venice of the Périgord'.

Loop ride from Aubeterre day 2
Ride through the rolling hills of the Charente countryside before crossing the River Dronne, stopping at the pretty town of St-Aulaye with its riverside beach, 11th century Bridge and medieval Château. Why not visit the museum of wine and cognac. A valley road takes you back to Aubeterre and your hotel.
Aubeterre to Villetoureix day 3
Ride through the peaceful Lizonne valley, taking in the charming villages of St Paul-Lizonne and Lusignac (optional) and the pretty medieval town of Ribérac. Return to the valley of the Dronne and to your chambre d’hôte set in the quiet hills of Villetoureix overlooking Ribérac .

Allow time to visit Ribérac famous for its market (Fridays) take small valley roads up the gentle hills to the attractive villages of Coutures and Celles before descending to the river and returning to your chambre d’hôte
Villetoureix to Brantôme day 5
Follow the River Dronne as is meanders via the historic medieval barony of Bourdeilles to the equally historic town of Brantôme; set on an island in the river – and your final hotel, the elegant Hotel Charbonnel, overlooking one of the main bridges.
