Book Stall in Paris by Mervyn Mitchell

About Mervyn
Mervyn Mitchell is an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and he has an MA in Photography. He tutors photography to marginalised communities in Nottingham, having founded the Nottingham Photographers' Hub in 2011.
"I'm not a premeditative photographer, I use the digital negatives as a starting point to create images which are aesthetically pleasing to me and hopefully to the viewer."
"Paris is my favourite city in Europe and I have been visiting it with my wife at least once a year since 2007. The shot of the bookstall was taken using a Nikon D700 camera with a Sigma 50mm f2.8 lens after leaving our favourite café ‘Louis Philippe’ near the bridge of the same name. The image reminds me of one of the unique sights you see whilst strolling along the banks of the river Seine, the range of books is always a surprise!"
